The fostering service organises all fostering placements in South Tyneside. We try to make sure that your time living with foster carers is enjoyable and healthy.
Fostering is where people provide a caring and safe environment in their own home for children and young people, including those who have disabilities and/or challenging behavior.
The Fostering Service arrange all sorts of placements for children and young people - some placements are for a short time (such as weekends) or for a long time ( a few months) or on a permanent basis.

This is information for children and young people that tells you all about living in a foster home and what rights you have.
